The 3,024 km2 Mahdia permit lies 114 km offshore Tunisia in shallow waters along the eastern margin of the Gulf of Hammamet basin in the Mediterranean Sea, 160km form the nearest major port
The wider basin is home to a number of small and mid-size oil and gas fields operated by independents and majors including Panoro, Eni and Royal Dutch Shell. Dunraven is the operator of the permit and holds a 100% interest.
