Thomas Anderson (Non-Executive Chairman)
Thomas has over thirty years’ direct executive experience running several companies in the leisure, fund management, forestry & oil & gas industries including serving as Chairman of the quoted Circle Oil Group from 1995 to 2007.
As principle and owner, he currently serves as Executive Chairman of The Empire Cinema Group in Britain, of Irish Medical Systems, (a supplier of Heathcare IT Systems in UK & Ireland), and Oglesby & Butler (a supplier of specialist tools primarily to the US market) and is a director, and controlling shareholder, of Terrabiogen a Vancouver based bioscience research company in the final stages of exploiting an advanced next generation suite of agricultural crop growth enhancers.
He earned degrees in commerce and economics, BA (Econ) and B Comm. and completed an MBA at University College Dublin.
John McKeon (Founder & Executive Director)
John has been a principal investor in the natural resources industry since the 1980s and has a vast network of business and political contacts across the world, including in Frontier and Emerging Markets. He was a founding shareholder and former executive director of Circle Oil Plc where he was instrumental in building the international oil and gas E&P company with assets spanning Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Oman and Namibia. He left the company in 2008 and since this time has continued his involvement in the natural resources sector in both oil and gas and precious minerals. During this time he has also has been involved in listing a number of companies on the AIM Market in London either as director or significant private shareholder. He is the founding shareholder, and chairman of Ardilaun Energy Limited (an Irish energy company focused on exploring for and developing oil and gas resources in offshore Ireland) and has interests in mineral resources around the world.
Alexander MacDonald (Chief Executive Officer)
Alex has more than 30 years of City and business experience in corporate finance (engineering and oil & gas sectors). He was until recently Chief Executive of Anglo African Oil & Gas, of which he was one of the founders, and successfully brought the company to AIM in March of 2107. He was formerly head of Whitman-Howard’s oil & gas team and held a similar position at Libertas Capital Corporate Finance LLP, where he was primarily involved in fund raising and M&A activities. He has both public and private company experience. Alex’s early career was in upstream exploration, mainly in Africa, the Middle East and the North Sea. He gained operational experience with Conoco, Chevron, Atlantic Drilling, Otis Wireline and Ocean Inchcape.
Brendan McMorrow (Chief Financial Officer)
Brendan has over 25 years’ experience in a number of publicly listed companies in the oil and gas and base metals mining sectors listed in London, Toronto and Dublin where he has held senior executive finance roles. Most recently, Brendan was Chief Financial Officer of Circle Oil Plc from 2005 to 2015, an AIM listed oil and gas exploration, development and production company, with operations in North Africa and the Middle East. His role entailed responsibility for all corporate, financial and funding matters. He is a non-executive Director of Conroy Gold and Natural Resources Plc a gold exploration and development company listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
Cathal Jones (Business Development Officer)
Cathal is an experienced chartered accountant and corporate financier. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers prior to spending 12 years with Deloitte, where he was a director with the corporate finance team. During his time at Deloitte, Cathal worked on a wide range of deals and transactions and was a member of Deloitte’s Energy and Resources national industry leadership team. As part of this role, he worked with clients in the oil and gas, mining and renewable energy sectors in particular, advising in relation to project finance, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and overall strategic direction. Since August 2014, he has been Finance Director of the Irish oil and gas exploration company Ardilaun Energy. Cathal is fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Ali Chine (Country Manager – Tunisia)
Ali, a petroleum geologist is a former president of the Tunisian state oil company (ETAP) and was previously energy advisor to the Tunisian Minister of Industry and Energy. Throughout his career he was a board or general member of a number of professional organisations, particularly in the petroleum sector.
Rowan Pearson (Corporate & Media Affairs Manager)
An Economics graduate of University College Dublin, with a Masters in International Business Studies, Rowan has spent the past 9 years in London in the small-cap M&A industry. With a focus on emerging markets and natural resources, Rowan has been involved in the restructuring and refinancing of many projects in Europe and Central Asia, availing of both private equity and various public markets.
Adrian Burrows (Consultant Geophysicist) Adrian, a geoscientist, has more than forty years’ experience, initially with major operators on exploration and production projects. He has successfully managed acquisition, processing and interpretation teams and coordinated strategy and operations. In the past he has also led data management and software development projects. His CV includes senior positions with Amoco, Occidental, ELF, RPS, PGS and Circle Oil Plc.

The Company has entered into negotiations with a major international technical services company to provide the technical and operational resources necessary to develop the Company’s Tunisian assets.
